North Kensington Removals Modern Slavery Statement
This Modern Slavery Statement is made by North Kensington Removals in respect of the financial year ending 31 December 2025. It sets out the steps we are taking to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chains, in line with our legal obligations and our ethical responsibilities as a removals and logistics business.
North Kensington Removals provides residential and commercial removal, packing, storage, and associated services. Our activities rely on a network of suppliers, including vehicle contractors, equipment providers, packaging suppliers, warehousing partners, and labour agencies. We recognise that modern slavery can occur in any sector or jurisdiction and we are committed to ensuring that it has no place in our business.
Our Zero-Tolerance Policy on Modern Slavery
North Kensington Removals has a clear, zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, servitude, and child labour. We will not knowingly work with any organisation or individual involved in such practices. We expect the same high standards from all who work with us, including employees, agency workers, contractors, and suppliers.
This commitment is reflected in our internal policies, contracts, and codes of conduct, which set out clear expectations regarding human rights, lawful employment, working conditions, and fair treatment. Any breach of our anti-slavery policy will be treated as a serious disciplinary matter and may result in termination of employment or business relationships.
Assessing Risk in Our Operations and Supply Chains
We regularly review our business activities and supply chains to identify areas where the risk of modern slavery may be heightened. This includes taking into account geographic risk, the nature of services provided, and the use of temporary or subcontracted labour. Particular attention is given to labour agencies, cleaning and maintenance services, and suppliers of packaging and equipment.
Where higher risk is identified, we apply enhanced due diligence, request additional information, and may conduct targeted audits to verify compliance with our standards and relevant labour laws.
Supplier Standards and Audits
All key suppliers are required to confirm that they comply with applicable modern slavery and human trafficking laws and that they have robust measures in place to prevent exploitation within their own operations and supply chains. Our standard terms and conditions require suppliers to uphold our values, maintain lawful employment practices, and cooperate with any compliance checks we deem necessary.
We undertake supplier audits on a risk-based basis. These audits may include reviewing employment records, right to work documentation, wage and working hour records, and health and safety practices, as well as speaking confidentially with workers where appropriate. Any non-compliance identified will lead to corrective action plans, follow-up checks, and, where serious or repeated breaches occur, suspension or termination of the commercial relationship.
Training, Awareness, and Reporting Channels
We provide training and guidance to relevant employees, particularly those involved in recruitment, procurement, and supplier management, to help them recognise signs of modern slavery and understand how to respond. Induction materials and periodic briefings reinforce our zero-tolerance stance and the importance of vigilance.
North Kensington Removals encourages all staff, contractors, and suppliers to raise concerns about potential modern slavery, without fear of retaliation. Concerns can be reported to line managers, senior management, or through designated internal reporting routes. Reports may be made anonymously where permitted by local regulations.
All reports of suspected modern slavery are taken seriously, promptly reviewed, and, where appropriate, investigated. We will cooperate fully with law enforcement or regulatory bodies where there is any indication of criminal activity or serious labour abuses.
Continuous Improvement and Annual Review
We are committed to continuously improving our approach to combating modern slavery. This includes reviewing and updating our policies, supplier onboarding processes, and audit methodologies to reflect evolving best practice and legal requirements.
This Modern Slavery Statement will be reviewed at least annually by the senior management of North Kensington Removals. The review will take account of audit findings, reported concerns, training feedback, and any changes in our operations or supply chains. Where necessary, we will update our controls and introduce additional measures to strengthen our prevention, detection, and response capabilities.
This statement has been approved by the management of North Kensington Removals, who accept overall responsibility for its implementation and for promoting a culture that respects human rights and rejects all forms of modern slavery.
